What happened
Pending home sales in the U.S. hit a record low, with a 14.4% annual drop in homes for sale with an offer. In Utah, Salt Lake County saw a 16% decrease in homes under contract from last year, and statewide, 3,191 homes were under contract as of that date, down 18% from the previous year. More than half of the homes for sale in the Salt Lake metro area are showing price cuts.
