Rope rescue team saves hiker after 100-foot fall in Iron County
What happened
A 20-year-old hiker fell approximately 100 feet near the Red Hollow Trailhead in Iron County and became wedged between a rock and the cliff face. Rescuers from the Iron County Sheriff's Office, Utah Highway Patrol, and Gold Cross Ambulance freed her and transported her by helicopter to a hospital in St. George.
