What happened
A survey of 509 Utahns by the Great Salt Lake Collaborative found most respondents want lake levels to rise and are worried about public health as the lake keeps declining. Many also doubt that lawmakers and fellow residents take the problem seriously enough, and they call for lasting conservation over growth. The results come as Gov. Spencer Cox has set a 2034 restoration goal and federal funding has stalled.
