Utah’s newly named Teacher of the Year dies at 39, days after receiving the recognition

Talia Casares, a sixth grade teacher at Moroni Elementary named 2027 Utah Teacher of the Year, died Sept. 14, just days after receiving the recognition, according to the North Sanpete School District.
