Father jailed for child abandonment after leaving 7-year-old in vacant apartment

A South Salt Lake father, Anthony Johnson, 42, was arrested on a child abandonment charge after his 7-year-old was found alone in a vacant apartment with no furniture, food or water. The child said the father threatened to beat them.
