Elementary school teacher named Utah Teacher of the Year dies unexpectedly

Talia Casares, a Moroni Elementary sixth-grade teacher recently named 2027 Utah Teacher of the Year, died unexpectedly, according to North Sanpete School District officials, who arranged grief counseling for students at area schools.
