BYU international studies director killed in Provo crash near Interstate 15

A 63-year-old bicyclist, identified as BYU Kennedy Center for International Studies director Vincent Stanley Benfell, died after being struck by a vehicle near an I-15 exit in Provo on Sept. 7. Police say impairment is not suspected; the case remains open pending lab results.
