30-year-old Ogden homicide cold case resolved after Iowa inmate gives confession

An Ogden cold case from 1997 has been resolved after an Iowa inmate confessed to the murder of Richard Billmayer, whose disappearance wasn't reported to police until 2008. The Cold Case Coalition's 2025 research helped detectives obtain the confession.
